News from Llanfabon Mothers' Union

At our AGM in February both Lynne Farr our Branch Leader and Crissie Stock our Treasurer stood down after three years in post. They have both given amazing service to our organisation. During the last three years our membership has risen from thirteen to twenty nine and it is still growing. Lynne and Crissie have organised many  great evenings for us with interesting speakers and lots of activities. We have fundraised  successfully to support the AFIA caravan . A big thank you from Llanfabon members to Lynne and Crissie, they will both continue  as loyal members of Llanfabon Mothers’ Union sharing in the strong friendships and community spirit they have done so much to nurture.

Our new officers were appointed at the same AGM, Alison Francis took on the mantle of Branch Leader. Alison is a Parish Warden, and all our members know of her hard work and enthusiasm, a popular choice. Mildred Hughes is the new Secretary and Ann Lock took on the role of Treasurer.

We look forward to a new year of fellowship and prayer,  continuing God’s work in our community. Ever mindful of our theme for 2020 “Building hope and confidence”

Congratulations to Ivor and Margaret Edwards who celebrated their Golden Wedding in October.  They were married in St John’s Church Kidderminster on October 4th 1969.
